Best Medium for 3D Hologram Art Prints

RabbitHoles Media has printed artwork and limited edition RabbitHoles 3d holograms for many artists, many of which have been displayed and very well received in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Montreal, and Vancouver, as well as internationally in China, Dubai, England, and France among other cities. Though the RabbitHoles® 3D Hologram technology requires a dedicated Halogen light source, and has parameters for animation and z-plane depth, it is by far the superior holographic medium for printing static and animated 3D scenes.

Following is an index of artworks grouped by artist name, or the specific event for which the pieces were created.

Gnomon Series of Limited Edition Holographic Prints

Jacques Desbiens

For more than 25 years, Desbiens has been involved in experimenting, analyzing and creating images. From the simplicity of drawing to the complexity of holography, his images and displays are based on a diversity of technological and artistic means to alter perception and create the ambiances that merge reality and fiction. As a specialist in three-dimensional imaging, representation methodologies and artistic optics, Desbiens has expertise in experimental drawings, perspective methods, 3D computer graphics, stereoscopy, projections, optics and computer generated holography. He recently received, at the International symposium on Display Holography (2009) in Shenzhen, China, the “Nick Phillips Award for Innovation in Holography”.

Desbiens’ work in computer-generated holography is artistic as well as experimental. He investigates the visual effects and narrative possibilities that are uniquely innate to this medium. Several composition experiments can be visualized in his holograms, such as spatial synchronizations, divisions of viewing zones and time/space distortions.

Dan LuVisi

Lucy L.M.S.rabbitholes Hologram Art GalleryDan LuVisi is a digital concept artist working in the film, video game and comic book industry.

At the young age of 3, inspiration struck him in form of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and he hasn’t stopped drawing since. His talent received recognition while he was still in high school and he was hired by German Acony Games during these years, prompting him to decide against college and instead, immediately follow his obvious calling.

He has since worked for some of the biggest entities in their field, including work on Batman and Superman for DC Comics, as well as work for Hasbro, FOX, Universal, Microsoft and a number of other gaming companies.

LuVisi is known for his extremely versatile style in both illustration approach and categories; besides concept illustrations, he has become an expert in Character & Costume Design, Matte Paintings, Storyboards, Poster & Packaging Design and generally welcomes new challenges within his field. Future skills he intends to add to his roster include 3D modeling with Z-Brush and Mud Box, Maya, as well as physical sculpture and canvas painting.

While he rapidly built a massive fan-base as part of the online art community Deviant Art for his likenesses of characters like Spider-Man & Venom, Iron Man, King Kong, Jack Sparrow and the Joker, it is the original creations springing from his seemingly never-ending well of imagination that have garnered the strongest accolades by his critics.

Ron English

Ron English is a New-York based Pop-Artist, known most in/famously for his street art, where he subverts existing billboard advertisements by using his own artwork in place of the existing legitimate billboards. He is also a highly collected painter and print-maker of memorable and often politically/socially charged content evident in pieces like Marilyn with Mickeys, McBigBoy, Abraham Obama, and others including subjects like Elvis, Warhol, and KISS.

English is a pioneer of the RabbitHoles® medium. He created his first limited edition “Cathy Cowgirl” in July 2007 for Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA, and shortly thereafter released “SCION Underground #1″ and “SCION Underground #2″ which were designed to be the windows on his SCION Art Car at Art Basel 2007 in Miami, FL. English also experimented with printing digital video in the animated holograms with footage from the documentary film about his life and work, Popaganda: The Art and Crimes of Ron English, by Pedro Carvajal. English is currently developing several concepts for future limited edition 3D holograms.
